In 1981, Kikuo Ibe, an engineer at CASIO's R&D department in Tokyo, dropped the watch his father had given him. The watch broke and he set out to create an indestructible watch.
In 1983, two years later, after launching more than 200 prototypes from the top of the Tokyo building, G-SHOCK was created. Since then, G-SHOCK has accompanied people who never give up. #NeverGiveUp
